This year the Roseland Community Transport group, with the help of Fran Bennett, our new co-coordinator plans to set up and develop a voluntary car scheme across the Roseland. Local people working together will run the project to provide necessary transport for residents who are not well enough to use public transport or have no means of private transport.
Volunteer drivers will assist with a variety of trips and will be reimbursed for their travel costs. The scheme will provide transport to hospitals, doctor’s, dentists, opticians etc for appointments or to visit poorly friends and relatives. Passengers will be asked to make a contribution to the travel costs.
For further information and to discuss becoming a volunteer OR if you have a need for transport, contact Fran Bennett on 07580-112859 or email us at Roselandcommtrans@yahoo.co.uk
